Our Policy
What does Swoop's Do?
Primarily we are a pet waste removal company. For best results we recommend once a week service. This keep it under control and prevents accumulation. We strive to provide a high quality reliable service that takes the stress and concern away from having poop in your yard.

Removing poop from your yard prevents your pets, children, friends, and other family members from spreading disease from the numerous icky things that exist in dog poop. It is not a fertilizer, it is considered a huge pollutant in ground water and streams. Dog poop can take years to decompose even if you can no longer see it.

Our technicians walk your property at least 2 times in a grid-like pattern searching and looking for poop. We mainly focus on the lawn (turf) areas. We will check gravel and flower beds but our main focus is the lawn. Therefore if your dog prefers to do it's business in the flower beds please specify that when signing up.
Do I need to put my dogs away?
Whenever possible, yes. Your swooping will go much faster with the dogs put away and it protects our technicians as well as your pets from getting hurt or lost.
However, if this simply is not possible and they are friendly then we love to mingle with them as well. We will do our best to play and entertain while we are there, technicians do have treats* to offer if needed.

*We use treats that are as natural as we can find and that best fit the average pet. We mostly work with a local company called Pet Wants to provide the highest quality of treats.
Do you have contracts?
No, not at this time. However we like to agree on payment and expectations for each property. But both party's are free to terminate at anytime, see cancellation policy. We prefer an open policy that allows communication, trust, and mutual respect.
Cancellation Policy
We require 24 hours written notice before your next visit. This can be done via text or email just so the date and time is documented for both parties. Less than 24 hours, or after a visit will result in being charged for the service, unless otherwise agreed. If there is a remaining balance on your account we require payment within 7 days.

If for any reason Swoops, L.L.C. is unable to fulfill your service date we will not charge for that service and reschedule the next available time.
Gate Policy
We will not climb over a fence or break into the property. If there is a combination or a key to a lock you can provide a copy to us. If you would prefer making other arrangements let us know. If we cannot gain access beyond our control you will still be charged for the service as well as the follow-up.

We double check the gates every time our technicians go through a gate. We make it a priority to make sure gates are shut and latched when we leave after service to ensure the safety of your dog. If there is ever an issue with any gate you will be contacted immediately.

Winter Time: Gates must be accessible. We do not want to damage the gate to get into the yard because of snow and ice. We also don't want to risk harm or injury to the technician performing your swoop.
Payment and Pricing
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. We have a Venmo account, @swoopsutah. We have a secure client portal that streamlines the process for payment and scheduling. We normally invoice after each visit, unless otherwise agreed upon. We prefer prompt payment but understand that everyone has a different pay period. We offer 30 days to pay the invoice before charging late fees.

We strive to keep our prices affordable and profitable. We generally charge by the dog to keep it fair across the board. However there are times that those prices need to be adjusted and we reserve the right to make these changes when the situation requires it. Some examples are location, size of your yard, and amount of poop collected, other factors as needed. You will always be notified of these changes. There are factors beyond our control like gas prices, disposal fees, etc. that also weigh into our pricing.
For First Time Cleans and Spring Cleans we do price differently. At this time we charge an hourly rate for these services because they do tend to take more time due to more accumulation. These have a minimum starting point for the first hour and a half and then are charged hourly per 15 minute intervals. Currently First time cleans start at $80 and are billed at $50/hour, Spring Clean Ups start at $90 and are billed at $60/hour. Exceptions do exist and can be considered please feel free to ask at sign-up.

For services outside the scope of dog poop we price at a minimum of $50, and bill hourly at the same rate. Exceptions do exist and can be considered depending on the job.
Skipping Policy
Yes, of course. Just let us know with as much time as possible so that we can plan our days accordingly. If you forget to let us know, you will be charged for a service. Otherwise service will resume whenever you need it too.

If Swoops, L.L.C. ever needs to skip a week for any reason we will notify you and arrange an alternate pick up date. There will be no charge in these events. (Examples, sickness, family emergencies, etc.)
Weather Policy
For the safety of our team members we will pause during major storms and pick up after the storm has passed or the following day. During smaller rain storms we will still fulfill your swooping. Snow, strong winds, lightning storms will all result in postponing your service until it clears up. See more under winter policy.
Winter/Snow Policy
We do swoop all year long. For the safety of our technicians a safe path to the dogs area must be established free of snow and ice. The gate must be accessible. During actual snow storms we will postpone until after the storm has passed and had time to clear up. If it is forecast to snow accumulation we will plan to come early whenever possible to get the poop before it snows whenever possible. If multiple weeks are missed due to excessive snow fall a make-up price will be charge to account for the extra time. We always hope to avoid this though.

If you change your dogs routine during the winter month, just notify us and we can pause your service until spring.

Weekly customers who remain with us through the winter will not be charged for a spring clean-up. Exceptions may apply in the case of excessive snow and build up of poop.
Spring Swoop-Up Policy
Let's face it the first clean up after winter is the worst one to have to deal with. Dog's poop 4-5 pounds a poop a week. Think about how many dogs you might have and how many weeks of winter we usually have 12+ weeks. That's a lot of poop. Often referred to as "poop soup" I know it sounds delightful. Due to the size of this type of clean up it requires much more time and disposal to get everything cleaned up. This means it's the most expensive unfortunately. As we learn and grow we hope to find a better way but until then we start with a base price and then bill hourly. Weekly and regular clients are maintained throughout the year which avoids a large spring clean price. One of the perks of regular service.
Satisfaction Policy
We do our best to find all the poop in your yard. We can only pick up what we can see. Yards that are overgrown, have an excess of debris, garbage, leaves, and post aeration plugs, etc. We can't guarantee everything will get picked up under those conditions. Plus we are human and are prone to miss things but do our best.
However we do prefer your complete satisfaction for our service. If there is anything that is ever missed, please contact us within 24 hours and we will come back and redo it.
